TWS 101 | Part 2. What makes a good set of true wireless earbuds?

Truly wireless earbuds offer a bit more freedom than regular headphones. They offer a lot of options for all situations, There is nothing wrong with buying a product based on the features you want, but with true wireless earbuds, the category is very new. It’s possible that there’s no perfect option for you, and that’s okay. Let's walk more what you should consider getting a lastest hi-tech new age ideal true wireless earbuds.

1. Wireless vs. Ture wireless earphones buds, the difference is not just wire between two buds.

Typical wireless earbuds receive the signal simultaneously since the earbuds are connected by wire.  Truly wireless earbuds designate one earbud as the primary receiver, and the other becomes the secondary receiver.  true wireless headphones receive a Bluetooth signal from your phone via a 2.4GHz wavelength. The path of a transfer renders your phone a transmitter and the earbuds receivers. A 10MHz signal is transferred through the head, from ear to ear, via magnetic induction not around the head like the Typical wireless earbuds .” Each Ture wireless earphones bud houses an antenna system and allows for a more stable connection.

2.One bud vs. two buds communication

Some TWS earphones work in a master/slave mode in which one earphone is the master and the other is the slave. In case the master gets lost, damaged or out of power, the other one becomes a dud. This mode causes extra power consumption, connection dropouts and bad synchronization between the two earphones.

3.Bluetooth 4.2 vs. Bluetooth 5.0  true wireless earbuds difference
The benefits of Bluetooth 5 is 2X faster data transfer speed and 4X range of data transmission. Bluetooth 5.0  true wireless earbuds provide not only a stronger connection with no audio/video delay, longer playtime but also the ultimate sound quality of minimum audio data loss in transmission, greater range, stronger connection, and stereo phone calls in both ears.

4.Battery life

Like any other set of headphones, they should sound good, but their biggest weaknesses are staying in your ears, and battery life. Those two concerns should trump all others, as you can’t use a product that won’t stay in your ears, nor can you use a product that won’t last long enough for your daily use.
In order to tell if a set of true wireless earbuds lasts long enough for you, we need to establish how long you listen to your music on a day-to-day basis. Many earbuds of this type will recharge in their case, extending their life as you work or sleep. But at a bare minimum, the battery life needs to exceed your total daily use by a comfortable margin. Luckily for true wireless earbuds, that bar isn’t very high.
True wireless earbuds are usually with a built-in lithium battery which could offer 3 to 6 hours playback. They come with their own special charging case offering more juicy from 12 hours to 48hours differently. There is a broad range of what is claimed by the marketing departments of companies. It all depends on the size of the headphone. In general the larger a headphone the more space there is for batteries. Most headphones don't have an optimized Bluetooth chipset so they aren't as efficient. Take it those into consideration you can expect anywhere from two hours to sixteen. But that largely depends on how loud you listen to music.  Some earbuds offer NFC charging and 15-30minutes charges which are very good to use.

The level of audio fidelity a headphone can reproduce. Therefore a balanced and true representation of bass, mids, treble, soundstage, and imaging, as well as a comfortable listening experience, is essential for critical listening.
For the most part, you want true wireless earbuds with some form of aptX Bluetooth. In the coming months, definitely look for aptX Adaptive, as it has the least latency of the higher-bitrate codecs out there.
Sound quality seems to be fairly uniform from unit to unit, but the rules for what makes a good-sounding headset are a little complex. However, for truly wireless earbuds, you’re going to want something that can isolate well, and have a slight bass emphasis. You’re going to need your earphones to be able to drown out loud noises. Models with foam tips and/or noise-canceling tech will be better than those without.

A perfect seal has huge implications for sound quality as well. Fortunately, usually with the true wireless earphone,  you'll give it a slight twist to seal it perfectly into your ear canal. With this tight seal, you can block out ambient background noises and prevent sound leaks during calls.

Above is the most important feature for a good set of earbuds,  It’s also possible that some features of TWS that you refer, like waterproofing or a super-clean interface with a voice assistant. It’s also okay to buy a product based on these concerns.

6.Everyday Proof

The sweat resistance function helps the earbuds hold up against moisture and dirt so you never have to worry during any hobby, travel, or workout. Extra ear tips and Cush Fins help keep the comfort perfect and reliable for your everyday needs.

7.Pocket Size

All the new age wireless technologies are ideal for people on the go. Because of their convenient size and weight including charging case will fit in any bag or jacket pocket you’re taking on-the-GO with you. No disassembling or dismantling, just place them wherever you want. Lights on the outside will indicate how much power you have left before your next charge.

8.Easy Connect & Controls

The latest true wireless earbuds will automatically turn on and connect to each other right out of the case. Then just connect to your phone. Utilizing Bluetooth 5, this is the fastest hands-free connection yet. Plus, touch sensors/mechanical buttons to control all your music, calls and smart assistants function choices depend on your preference.  Some physical buttons, you need to press the buttons and it will end up pushing the headphones into your ear. The touch button is quick to response yet not too sensitive to be triggered by accident. But each earbud has a single button to control various functions, they’re frustrating to use.
9.Reasonable prices
The price depends on many things – build quality, durability, size, battery life, driver quality, etc. It also depends on the manufacturer and, in some cases, you’ll be paying an additional price for the brand. Still, true wireless stereo devices don’t cost a fortune. If you have enough money to spend on Bose speakers/headphones or similar products, go for it, but if you don’t, you can always find something cheaper. The market is so big and you will definitely find a reasonably priced device for you.
While it’s tough to objectively test whether or not something will stay in your head, many true wireless earbuds will do something to act as a fail-safe to hold the unit in your ears. These features are extremely valuable. You may not be able to tell 100% if a product will fit you well, but these features increase the likelihood immensely. No matter what anyone says, AirPods are not the best true wireless earphones because not everyone can use them. That’s bad.
