This China-based company is probably best known for its series of small digital music players. Shanling MTW100 comes in three colors -White, Black, and Red- and the price for the White is $69 while the rest cost $89 with a balanced armature driver. The one in this review is the black version with a BA driver.

The case is a square pillow shape that opens on the corner like a clamshell, with a metal spring hinge. To me, the size is perfect; it fits nicely in hand.
