Shanling is not a company you’ve been hearing of too often in the tech news. The company is a newcomer to the earphone market. This China-based company is probably best known for its series of small digital music players.  And yet, the Chinese manufacturer is producing some very interesting and high-end audio devices and accessories. Their latest earphone addition is the first pair of truly wireless earbuds-Shanling MTW100 headset.

Shanling MTW100 comes in three colors -White, Black, and Red- and the price for the White is $69 while the rest cost $89 with a balanced armature driver. The one in this review is the black version with a BA driver. 

All the standard accessories are included in the card box. What impressed me much is the stylish colors of these small things. 

The case is a square pillow shape that opens on the corner like a clamshell, with a metal spring hinge. To me, the size is perfect; it fits nicely in hand.

The Shanling MTW100 earbuds are impressively lightweight, sporting a sleek, understated design that won’t grab attention – but then again, why would you want to draw attention to your earbuds? In fact, the Shanling Stylish True Wireless earbuds are so small that they barely protrude from your ears at all, giving you a way to enjoy your music without looking like a Cyberman from the Doctor Who universe.
