Topping Releases New Firmware V1.24 For D90 MQA DAC.

Topping D90 has swiftly grown into one of the best-selling and highly-coveted MQA decoding DACs on the market today. Its excellent build quality, transcendent sound, and various features have shown it is an amazingly versatile and state of the art DAC.

As with many DACs out there, particularly brand-new ones using AKM's latest AK4499EQ DAC chip, there is always the likelihood of adding minor improvements and fixing little glitches via a firmware update. In the case of the D90 MQA, Topping went ahead and issued firmware update V1.24, which addresses small issues for USB input users, allowing a new bit-depth for MQA users along the way.

It appears that Topping's engineers have been working hard on fixing the few bugs D90 users brought to the surface, and have therefore issued firmware V1.24 for the D90 DAC to address a few issues.

This firmware is only for the D90 MQA version. This firmware adds 32bit support to the D90 MQA version at the USB input. If the firmware of your D90 MQA version already V1.24, then you needn't do this update. The standard version of D90 already supports 32bit at USB input, so you needn't do this update either.

Please noted that standard version D90 is not able to add MQA support by this firmware; flashing this firmware to the standard version of D90 may cause irreversible damage. So if your D90 is a standard version, please DO NOT try this firmware.
