DUNU is one of those brands that brought us hybrid driver setups in the beginning with its highly acclaimed “DK” series of IEMs. The DK3001 was a fan-favourite globally that packed a 1DD+4BA driver architecture. The DK3001 came out back in 2016, and it is time for the brand to bring us the new generation of in-ear monitors, presenting the all-new DUNU DK3001BD also referred to as DK3001 Brain Dance. DUNU has designed the pair in an all-new cyberpunk theme “HyperDream” design to the pair. It features CNC-machined metallic ear shells with Zirconium-Ceramic coating that gives the pair a unique, eye-catching design. DUNU DK3001BD has got a complete overhaul in terms of driver setup, the pair now houses a 9-driver tribrid setup featuring one dynamic driver, four balanced armatures, and four planar drivers on each side. First and foremost, the DUNU DK3001BD brings us spectacular looks and premium comfort with its specially crafted metallic ear shells. The pair is CNC-crafted with great precision and quality. The shells are made up of high-quality aerospace-grade aluminum alloy material. We have Zirconium-Ceramic coated shells in a beautiful White and Orange color theme. The design is hyper realistic and DUNU has named this design as “HyperDream”, a device that connects to the Sensory mind. The pair is available in both MMCX and 2-Pin Connector options.

For the sonic front, DUNU DK3001BD packs a unique driver setup. The pair houses a 9-driver per side featuring a powerful dynamic driver, four high-performance balanced armature drivers, and four high-resolving micro-planar drivers. DUNU has adjusted these drivers using a dual-system, four-way crossover. We have an independent four-channel sound guide system and precise electronic crossover as well. The hybrid Electronic and Physical crossover ensures precise frequency control, promising highly consistent phase alignment and seamless coherency between the drivers. DUNU has equipped the same high-power dynamic driver unit which they featured in their current flagship DUNU Glacier IEMs. It adopts a composite bio-diaphragm paired with an independent flexible surround for deep-diving, solid bass response. With two dual-BA setups for Mid and High-frequency bands, the DUNU DK3001BD delivers lovely midrange and high-frequency response. Lastly, the four high-performance Planar drivers have been adjusted to deliver excellent extensions in the ultra-high frequency band.

DUNU bundles the DK3001BD with a high-purity stock cable. It is a four-core single-crystal copper cable which is refined through a secondary purification process. The cable has a Nylon damping layer to ensure smooth, interference-free sound signal transmission. As we have mentioned above as well, the DK3001BD comes in two variants, MMCX and 2-Pin connectors. So based on the variant you choose while purchasing, the same connectors you will get on the cable here. The cable also has DUNU’s patented Q-Lock Mini interchangeable termination plug system. DUNU bundles a 3.5mm single-ended and a 4.4mm balanced plug with the DK3001BD.
