The Shanling M8 is equipped with industry-leading powerful dual DAC chips from Asahi Kasei(AKM), the AK4499. It is a flagship-grade DAC chip that is usually found in TOTL DAC’s only. Delivering a high-end sound quality with high signal to noise ratio and high dynamic range are the key features of this chipset. It is capable of decoding PCM up to 32-Bit/768kHz, and DSD up to DSD512 natively and Shanling will opt a class-leading USB receiver chip to support these bit rates.

Interchangeable Headphone Socket:-

The main attraction so far with the Shanling M8 apart from the AK4499 DAC chips is the interchangeable headphone socket. It can be changed between 3.5mm single-ended, 4.4mm balanced, 2.5mm balanced, or 3.5mm pro(balanced). So whichever termination port you need, you can switch to it on your Shanling M8.

Open Android OS:-

With an open Android OS, we can use a countless number of Android applications on the M8. Powered by lightning-fast Snapdragon 430 CPU and 4GB of RAM the player provides a snappy user interface across several Android applications.

Not much is known about the upcoming Shanling M8, more details are supposed to be released in the upcoming weeks.
