Key Upgrades With M11 Plus over the M11 Pro and Standard M11 model:-

Faster SoC:-

The main improvement with the M11 Plus in the series is the faster SoC chip resulting in a better, faster user experience and the latest Android OS support too. M11 Plus utilizes Qualcomm’s advanced Octa-core Snapdragon 660 chip that delivers exceptional performance improvements over the Hexa-core Exynos 7872 found in both M11 and M11 Pro.

New-Digital Audio Purification System(DAPS):-

FiiO has upgraded the audio chipset in the M11 Plus with their self-developed 4th-Generation FPGA+ premium NDK Femtosecond crystal oscillator clock that ensures a pure, natural sound output. Both the M11 Pro and M11 featured standard crystal oscillator clocks.

New 6th-Generation Honeycomb Design with Bezel-Less Display:-

FiiO M11 Plus boasts an aggressive look with its latest 6th-generation Honeycomb design(buttons have a hexagonal shape). It also features a bigger 5.5” bezel-less display. Display in M11 Plus is not only beautiful to look at with its bezel-less design, but it also has better color reproduction and crisp image clarity. Both the previous models are almost identical in looks with the same 5.15” display, the only difference being PRO branding on the side of the device in the M11 Pro model. On the back, M11 Plus has a beautiful diamond-cut pattern while the M11 Pro and M11 had a plain glass back panel.

FiiO M11 Plus-3

New-Generation Touch-Sensitive Volume Control:-

FiiO M11 Plus features newly-designed volume control using physical buttons and a sliding touch panel. Forget the traditional volume scroll wheel that was there on the M11 and M11 pro, Now adjust the volume by simply sliding your finger on the touch panel between the physical volume buttons. It brings a new innovative experience for its users.

Increased RAM:-

FiiO has increased the RAM in FiiO M11 Plus from 3GB in the previous models to 4GB. Increased RAM allows for better multi-tasking with the device, smoother performance even during prolonged use.

Latest Android 10 OS:-

The old-generation Exynos SoC chipset was holding the M11 and M11 pro to receive the latest Android updates. But with the Implementation of the Snapdragon 660 chipset M11 Plus comes loaded with FiiO’s first iteration of Android 10 with over 137 icons redrawn, every detail customized, everything made sure to be beautiful and intuitive. It also supports the latest functions such as Dark mode, Night mode, and three navigation options to further enhance the user experience. With the latest Android, Apple Music support is also added to the M11 Plus.

FiiO M11 Plus-4

Balanced Line-Out Support:-

Along with the regular 2.5/3.5/4.4mm headphone output ports present in both M11 Pro and M11 models, M11 Plus also features a Balanced 4.4mm line-out port. It allows the device to be paired with balanced amplifiers without any trouble. Both the M11 Pro and M11 lack this dedicated balanced line-out functionality.

Unique Shortcut Key:-

FiiO M11 Plus features a fully customizable shortcut key near the volume panel on the side of the player. It is exclusive with the M11 Plus model and was not present in any of the FiiO’s devices before. It can be customized to execute complex operations with a single click such as Random Next Track, Delete Currently Playing Song, Switch Between Digital Filters, Switch EQ, and many other options.

Triple Gain Modes For All Kinds Of Headphones:-

M11 Plus features three-level gain modes to pair different headphones with the device. Each gain mode offers 120-volume steps allowing for precise volume adjustment with both sensitive and power demanding headsets.

FiiO M11 Plus-5

Improved Bluetooth Connectivity:-

FiiO M11 Plus supports Bluetooth V5.0 connectivity that provides a stronger, more stable connection in comparison to the V4.2 connectivity offered by M11 Pro and M11 models. With Apple Music Support, the M11 Plus also added support for AAC codec along with the regular LDAC/AptX/AptX HD/SBC codecs supported by the previous devices.

Bigger Battery:-

Battery size in M11 Plus has been increased from 4370mAh in M11 Pro to 6000mAh in the M11 Plus. M11 Plus provides up to 11.5H of continuous music playback that was restricted to 9.5H on the M11 Pro. The OG M11 had a battery life of up to 13H even with a smaller 3800mAh battery.

Faster USB Connection:-

FiiO has upgraded the USB Type-C port to V3.0 in the M11 Plus. It provides fast charging support up to 27W, faster write speed of up to 90MB/s. Both the M11 Pro and M11 had a USB V2.0 connection port supporting 18W fast charging and 30MB/s write speed.

FiiO M11 Plus-6

All these upgrades make the M11 Plus worth over both the previous models as it provides a snappier user experience, improved battery, Balanced Line-out function, latest Android OS, and many more features overall providing a better user experience. The M11 Plus is not only a worthy upgrade but also an amazing device for people looking to get a high-end portable audio experience. Check out more details about the M11 Plus on our store page here.

Hi, the Qualcomm Snap 660 was introduced in early 2017 and Android 10 in 2019….So, Fiio uses old technology inside. I owned an M17 based on same technologies and then downgraded to M11 Plus ESS (same tech). The notable difference between the 2 is 1200 EUR.
However, I liked very much the M17, and now M11 Plus ESS.
