Can’t expect too much for $63.99 and to be honest you don’t get much inside the package as above. The accessories only include a manual, warranty, short USB-C to USB-A cable (charging and USB-C DAC duties). 

Hiby W3 Headphone is designed to support 192kHz audio wirelessly which is very high in Bluetooth transmission standard. 

Hiby W3 DAC dongle was featured with UAT standards. UAT (Ultra Audio Transmission) is a Hi-Res Bluetooth codec independently researched and developed by HiBy Music. Supporting an industry-first 192kHz sample rate and 1.2Mbps bitrate, this Bluetooth codec can even optimize itself in recognition of different music genres.

Control my Hiby W3 amplifier remotely via the HiBy Blue app, I could view sample rate, Bluetooth format, power, adjust EQ, update firmware, etc. 

The SNR numbers are very good at 118dB. 

Same as Shanling UP2&4, Fiio BTR3 & BTR 5, Hiby W3 also has a wear clip for going out. And there is a nice logo on the clip. Translucent faceplate, metal shirt clip, and buttons that positively click! 

Verdict 

The inclusion of LDAC makes a huge difference to the sound quality inside what was already a good idea with their entry-level versions.

The price is competitive also at $63.99. For that price, it is actually a no-brainer if you want to hear what Bluetooth is really capable off with a quality set of IEMs. The concept of BT built into IEMs has always left me on the fence but being able to use any IEM in my own collection makes this a worthwhile accessory to carry around when on-the-go.

Hiby W3 portable DAC amplifier has opened up a lot of potential avenues. It is not only looking like a really smart device to have around for more demanding audiophiles but it is also suitable for the girls all who like music only if you have a smartphone.
