Unique Melody started 2022 with the announcement of their latest pair of HiFi in-ear monitors, the Unique Melody MEXT. MEXT brings a taste of their latest innovation with the Bone Conduction Driver. Unique Melody has been a pioneer in the industry for creating innovative driver configuration with their successful Mest series of in-ear monitors. The latest MEXT features a newly-developed Coil-Based Bone Conduction Driver(UM called it OBC). This driver produces more impact in the lower end and synergizes better with the traditional air-conducting drivers(DD and BA) as compared to the Vibration-based Bone Conduction drivers(implemented in the OG Mest and other IEMs by Unique Melody). MEXT features a 6-driver arrangement in a 4-way frequency crossover. The pair is equipped with a coil-OBC driver with one Dynamic and four BA drivers per side. Coil-Based Bone Conduction Driver:-

Unique Melody has designed two types of bone conduction drivers. First, the Vibrating Bone Conduction which they equipped in the Mest series, Mason Series of flagship in-ear monitors. Second, the Coil-based Bone Conduction driver, which is also called OBC(Original Bone Conduction) driver. The new Coil-based OBC drivers present a deep performance in the bass section. It responds very well to a frequency range of 200Hz to 7kHz.

Unique Combination Of Bone Conduction & Air Conduction Drivers:-

Unique Melody has expertise in implementing Air-Conducting drivers(i.e. DD and BA drivers) along with their custom-developed bone-conduction drivers. The latest MEXT features such a unique combination too. It is equipped with 6 driver hybrid configuration per side, featuring 1 dynamic driver, 1 OBC(Original Bone Conduction driver), and four balanced armature drivers.

Four-Way Frequency Crossover:-

In order to maintain precise frequency division and lower distortion in the output signal, Unique Melody has arranged the drivers in MEXT in a four-way frequency crossover. The OBC driver acts as a full-frequency driver(up to 7kHz) while the impactful lower-end is produced by the dynamic driver. There are two BA drivers for midrange and two BA drivers for the treble response.

Professional Tuning For a Smooth, Natural, & Powerful Sound:-

With their expertise in designing multi-driver IEMs, Unique Melody has tuned the latest MEXT for a natural and smooth sound performance. The pair produces lovely sub-bass complementing the other frequencies with a deep rumble. Midrange has excellent clarity with lovely vocals and detailed instruments. Treble has a good presence with quality resolution and air.

Comfortable Fit With Ergonomic Design:-

The OBC driver is placed inside the IEMs in such a way that it comes close to the Ear bone. The pair is designed in an ergonomic manner with a small shell size. It is easier to wear and ensures a comfortable fit for most users.

MEXT comes with a custom-developed UM Copper M1 cable manufactured by PW Audio. It is a soft and premium cable designed specifically for the MEXT.
