Topping Announces A90 Discrete Headphone Amplifier & Pre-Amplifier

A90 from Topping has been leading their range of desktop headphone amplifiers with its exceptional performance. With the latest A90 Discrete, Topping is introducing a fully-discrete design for its famous NFCA module. NFCA(Nested Feedback Composite Amplifier) architecture has been completely redesigned on the A90 Discrete with discrete components. The device houses four NFCA-Discrete modules that adopt 39 transistors and are arranged in a fully balanced arrangement.

Same as the Original A90, the A90 Discrete features Optimised Voltage Current Hybrid Feedback Architecture along with UHGF(Ultra-High Gain Feedback) design technology. With its fully-discrete design, the A90 Discrete achieves an extremely powerful output rating of up to 9800mW @ 16Ω of load. Topping A90 Discrete is not only about throwing high-output power, it’s about maintaining ultra-low distortion with high power too. It achieves <0.00005% of THD+N ratings at 5800mW of output power(32Ω of load).

Topping A90 features a set of stereo inputs housing RCA and XLR input ports. It can be paired to the Topping EXT90 extender and provide a total of 4 XLR and 2 RCA stereo inputs together. As for headphone outputs, Topping A90 Discrete supports both single-ended as well as balanced headphone connections with three headphone output ports at the front. It has 4-pin XLR and 4.4mm balanced headphone ports and a 6.35mm single-ended headphone output port. A90 Discrete has two-level gain settings allowing the users to pair both sensitive as well as high-power requiring headphones and IEMs with the amplifier.

A90 Discrete can also be used as a pre-amp, feeding signal into a power amp for your stereo chains. It supports both single-ended RCA as well as balanced XLR  pre-outs.
