At the heart and core of the PL200T, SMSL has featured its own developed technology. Over the past two years, SMSL has developed this unique Precision Access Servo System, referred to as P.A.S.S.. It enables precise CD reading capability on to the PL200T and also has native MQA-CD playback support. The PL200T also has SMSL’s own developed anti-vibration mechanism, it allows for stable, consistent CD playback with no vibration issues. Another key feature of the SMSL PL200T is the ability to connect external clock to the device. It has both input and output digital clock function supporting 44.1kHz word clock and 10MHz standard or atomic clock. Users can match the input impedance to 50Ω or 75Ω.

SMSL PL200T can be used as a pure digital interface as well with support for high0-resolution audio signals. It has USB input port as well which supports up to 32-bit/768kHz PCM and native DSD512 bitrate audio signals.
