Moondrop Presents Kadenz Flagship Single DD IEMs and Concerto xMEMS Hybrid IEMs

In the recent times, Moondrop has came up with some really cool products. From high-performance wireless TWS like Ultrasonic, Moca, etc. to advanced portable CD Players like the DiscDream 2 and the DiscDream 2 Ultra, Moondrop has launched an amazing new collection. Today, we are super excited to bring two new high-performance in-ear monitors to the Moondrop’s lineup, presenting the Moondrop Kadenz and Moondrop Concerto. Kadenz is going to be their latest flagship single dynamic driver I’m in the K-series that includes highly-acclaimed models such as Kanas Pro, Kato, etc. The Concerto is Moondrop’s first IEM to bring the new xMEMS advanced driver in an hybrid configuration with a 13mm patented super linear planar magnetic driver unit. Both the IEMs help you upgrade your portable listening experience with their impressive sound reproduction capabilities. Let’s know more about both these latest IEMs!!

Moondrop Kadenz:-

As we have mentioned above, Kadenz is their latest flagship in the Single-Dynamic driver K-series IEMs. The pair comes equipped with Moondrop’s self-developed patented 10mm second-generation Ultra Linear Dynamic Driver unit. This driver adopts TAC Diamond-coated dome composite diaphragm, using LCP(Liquid Crystal Polymer) as the dome substrate. Moondrop has developed this driver with over two years of design and development. Its brand-new irregular magnetic circuit was designed using FEA simulation and topology optimization technologies. Other notable features of this driver include integrated brass internal acoustic cavity structure with external waveguide design for suppressing sharp high-frequency resonance sounds and resulting in smooth, extended high-frequency band.

Moondrop Kadenz-1

For the newly developed dynamic driver, Moondrop has adjusted and re-modeled the internal acoustic cavity structure. This is done using directional simulation, 3D printing tests, and molding adjustments. The optimum acoustic cavity results in a smooth and balanced three-frequency response. The pair also has swappable nozzle design to match the acoustic coupling of different ear canals, ensuring smooth, lively sound for everyone. Moondrop Kadenz features a brand-new improved third-generation patented anti-dust filter which greatly reduces oily earwax buildup and offering better performance throughout the frequency band.

Moondrop Kadenz-2

Moondrop Kadenz features well-built ergonomic ear shells which are made using MIM powder metallurgy process. It allows for irregularity in design while preserving high-rigidity. The pair is then hand polished and sandblasted for a rich matte finish. Moondrop bundles the Kadenz with a high-purity single-crystal silver-plated copper cable with balanced 4.4mm termination. We also have a 4.4mm female to 3.5mm male connector in the package as well. Moondrop also includes ECHO-B portable USB DAC adapter. It is a balanced 4.4mm adapter with built-in DAC chipset supporting 32Bit/384kHz PCM signal processing. Moondrop Kadenz is available for an attractive price tag of $189.99, you can check out more details here.

Moondrop Concerto:-

Experience the new generation in portable IEMs with the Concerto as it brings you the goodness of advanced xMEMS driver technology. Moondrop has designed the Concerto with a dual-driver hybrid setup featuring xMEMS Solid-State all-silicon Montara driver and a patented 13mm large-sized super linear planar magnetic driver. xMEMS drivers are the latest in HiFi audio. In a short span of time, they have got good attention for their crisp, defined, and open treble reproduction capabilities. And for the Concerto, the Montara driver has large vibration area that results in a brilliant high-frequency reproduction above 8kHz. Combined with the fast and responsive 13mm large-sized superlunar planar driver, the Moondrop Concerto brings you a unique high-resolution sound experience.

Moondrop Concerto-1

xMEMS drivers actually require an independent power amplifier. Moondrop includes a high-quality DSP Type-C terminated cable that has built-in DAC and independent power amplifier for the xMEMS drivers. The DSP section handles high-resolution 32-Bit/384kHz PCM signal decoding with ease and promise high-quality music listening experience for the users. The stock cable here has built-in three button media control and an in-line microphone as well. Moondrop has developed the internal acoustic cavity structure carefully to house both the large-sized planar as well as xMEMS driver. Both the drivers are arranged together in a V-shape opposed profile forming a sharp angle by the opposed vibrating areas of high-range and low-range drivers. This helps both the drivers work like a single unit and produce excellent coherency across the frequency band.

Moondrop Concerto-2

Moondrop Concerto is a one of its kind IEM and a first from Moondrop implementing the latest xMEMS driver technology. We are really excited for the Moondrop Concerto, it is launched officially for $329.99, you can check out more information here.
