With a multi-BA setup on the Yvain, HiBy has aimed to deliver a high-resolution sound performance. The pair packs a quad-BA setup featuring premium balanced armature drivers from Knowles and Sonion. They are arranged together in a three-way frequency crossover with one Knowles BA driver for producing thunderous lower-end bass response, a dual-composite SONION BA unit for accurate midrange response, and one Knowles BA Tweeter for extended high-frequency response. It has been tuned to deliver quality resolution producing excellent details and a wide frequency band response.

HiBy Yvain is designed with 3D-printed medical-grade resin ear cavities. They feature CNC-machined aluminium alloy face covers with a finely engraved Lion logo. The pair is named after the classic 12th-century novel “Yvain, the Knight of the Lion”, which describes the heroic tale of the medieval knight Yvain. He faced a dilemma between fulfilling his promise to his beloved and pursuing his personal mission. In his self-imposed exile, he rediscovered the meaning of the line, and the young lion he saved became his loyal companion on his adventures.

HiBy Yvain is bundled with a high-quality PCOCC copper Litz Type 4 coaxial braided cable. The cable offers smooth signal transmission with low internal resistance and protects the signal from external interference. It adopts standard 0.78mm two-pin connectors and features a swappable termination plug system. HiBy includes 2.5mm, 3.5mm, and 4.4mm plugs in the package.
