AFUL Launches Cantor: Latest 14BA Flagship IEMs

The time for AFUL’s highly-anticipated flagship is finally over, the AFUL Cantor has now arrived. In a short span of time, AFUL Acoustics has made a good name in the HiFi Audio industry. With a handful of releases, the brand has shown its professionalism and ability to design high-quality products.

AFUL Cantor-1

The brand debuted in the international market in 2022 with the release of 5-driver hybrid AFUL Performer5. The pair introduced multiple patented technologies by AFUL such as RLC Network Division, EnvisionTEC high-precision 3D printing acoustic duct tube structure, high-damping air-pressure relief balance system, etc. AFUL Performer5 became a huge success for the brand, and they further worked on enhancing these patented technologies and design several other successful products such as Performer8, MagicOne, Explorer, etc.

The latest Cantor is going to be their foray into the high-end flagship market designed with several of their patented technologies and housing a whooping 14BA driver setup on each side. Each driver here has been carefully chosen, they serve designated functions within a complex crossover architecture. AFUL Cantor is here to revolutionize the high-end market with its industry-leading HiFi audio performance. AFUL Cantor is priced at $799, you can check out more details here.

AFUL Cantor-2

The Cantor houses a 14BA architecture on each side. The drivers are implemented using several patented technologies that greatly enhance the performance of the pair. Each driver unit has been carefully designed and implemented using a complex crossover architecture. The high-frequency drivers adopts Lossless Direct-Driver Topology that eliminates high-frequency resonance using an asymmetrical sound path. This results in smoother, well-extended high-frequency region.

For the Bass region we have two composite drivers with dual-way acoustic maze patented acoustic tube structure. It has ultra-thin and ultra-long acoustic tubes for a deep, elastic, and hard-hitting low-end response. The midrange uses phase interference suppression technology that ensures each driver operates independently and produces a crisp, well-defined mid-frequency response.

AFUL has designed a unique Mother-of-Pearl face cover for the Cantor. It uses snail and seashell granules mixed with resin to create a gorgeous looking design. The ear shells have a blue gradient effect made using high-quality German blue resin, the overall finish and feel of the pair is spectacular, it looks absolutely premium. Let’s know the different patented technologies implemented in the Cantor.

AFUL Cantor-3

Dual-Way Acoustic Maze: High-Density Bass Response:-

AFUL has designed this precisely calculated dal-way acoustic maze structure. This is a 3D-printed acoustic tube structure with two composite drivers. One composite unit delivers a thunderous sub-bass response within 10Hz-100Hz region through an ultra-thin and ultra-long acoustic tube, and the other is used as the bass unit. AFUL has used a highly-precise German imported 3D printed to design the acoustic components of this region. They have designed an ultra-thin and complex acoustic tube with smallest diameter of just 0.15mm. This mechanism is similar to that of the SHURE SE846, but the implementation process, and the resulting bass response is better than the SE846. This design structure enables a powerful, deep-diving low-end response with the Cantor.

Lossless Direct Drive Topology Technology With Special Structure High-Frequency Design:-

AFUL has developed the internal cavity structure of the Cantor with a special structure developed to place the high-frequency driver units in the shell. This special structure has been developed with great precision and calculations so as to reduce the structural resonance spike. The ear shells also have a special-shaped sound path for the high-frequency drivers further eliminating the high-frequency resonance without the need of any high-frequency damper. This is being referred to as Lossless Direct Drive Topology Technology. It helps in producing a crisp, well-defined high-frequency band with extremely solid high-frequency extensions. This enables the BA Treble to reach the height and performance of Electrostatic drivers.

AFUL Cantor-4

Multi-Dimensional Frequency Crossover Technology:-

The 14BA drivers on the AFUL Cantor definitely needs a sophisticated and complex crossover to bring out an excellent listening experience for its users. AFUL has designed a multi-dimensional frequency division architecture consisting of RLC Network Frequency Division(Electronic Crossover), Two-Way Acoustic Maze(Physical Tube Crossover), and Midrange Frequency Phase Interference Suppression(Physical Tube Crossover). This multi-dimensional crossover enables each driver unit to have its own distinctive role and perform to the best of is capabilities. It helps produce a highly coherent and robust sound response across a wide frequency region. It simply exhibits unexpected level of quality and versatility to different music genres.

High-Damping Air-Pressure Balance System:-

AFUL has also featured its Air-Pressure balance relief design on the Cantor. It basically balances the air pressure in the ear canal, effectively reducing fatigue and discomfort after prolonged listening. The air pressure release balance technology also enhances the low-frequency response of the set with high-quality texture and quick response.

AFUL Cantor comes with a high-purity 5N LC-OFC copper cable. This cable adopts transparent PVC internal sheathing and braided Nylon fiber material outer sheathing. It features custom-crafted high-conductivity connectors and high-purity H62 brass material pins. The metallic components are CNC-machined and have chromium-plated metallic covers.

AFUL Cantor-5

AFUL Cantor is a brand new IEM that brings outstanding performance with its revolutionary internal design and professional tuning adjustments. AFUL has left no stone unturned to design its flagship, the Cantor simply promises a brilliant sound listening experience to its users. You can grab this stunning set today, order now!!
