FiiO has brought noticeable upgrades to the R7 to take the performance of the R9 to an all-new level of awesomeness. At the very basic level, we have got a new DAC arrangement. With the adaptation of dual ES9038Pro DAC chips, the decoding performance of FiiO R9 hits new scores. It achieves ultra-clear decoding with true high-resolution PCM and DSD sound signal decoding. FiiO has featured an XMOS XU316 3rd gen USB processor chipset that helps in smooth USB signal processing. FiiO R9 also has multiple input supports. Along with the regular USB, coaxial, and optical inputs, the R9 also has HDMI Arc input enabling easy access to TV and other devices.

FiiO R9 adopts THX788+ high-power amp chipset. The chipset is arranged in an eight-channel design unleashing a monstrous performance on the R9. It provides R9 with strong signal amplification while maintaining the natural and pure tone of the sound. The FiiO R9 has a powerful 7W output power rating, easily driving any given headphone or in-ear monitor with ease. It has multiple gain levels to support both highly sensitive and low-sensitive headphones without breaking a sweat. FiiO R9 has multiple output options. We have 6.35mm single-ended, 4.4mm balanced, and 4-pin XLR balanced headphone output ports and XLR+RCA lineout options as well.

FiiO has designed the R9 with exclusive craftsmanship. The desktop streamer is built with a stunning two-tone liquid metal frame and has a vivid and colorful LED ring light around the knobs and also a RGB colorful strip light on the front right next to the huge 6” display screen. The device comes pre-loaded with Android 10, but it will be soon upgraded to Android 12 for a smoother and more stable operation.
