FiiO M17 FW1.0.3 Latest Firmware Released

FiiO has released a new firmware for its ultimate flagship M17 Android Digital Audio Player. This update brings your M17 to the latest FW1.0.3 firmware that brings several new functions and improvements to the M17. M17 is a flagship digital audio player that is designed with desktop-grade audio components but can also be used as a portable standalone device for all your musical needs. With this new firmware, you get several new features such as disabling battery charging when connected to power(can be enabled), hiding the full-screen indicator when using gesture navigation, and several more features. Let’s get your M17 upgraded to the latest firmware.

Changes and New Functions with FW1.0.3:-

>Added a new function to disable battery charging when using wired(can be enabled in settings>Battery).

>Added a new function to hide the full-screen indicator when using gesture navigation(can be enabled in settings>Global>System navigation>Gesture Navigation).

>Added ambient light sun setting to synchronize the side ambient light with the Knob indicator(can be enabled in settings>display>indicator light control).

>Added the volume adjusting mode shortcut icon in the drop-down menu.

>Added a new option to the multi-function button setting: Lock Screen/Wake up.

>Added more timer options for idle power off.

>Added the option of “Do not display again” in the pop-up window when the All to DSD function is enabled.

>Fixed the issue where the output would give an error in the USB 2.0 port when exclusive USB Audio Access mode is turned off.

>Fixed the issue where the white noise might be heard while playing music in Bluetooth Transmitting mode.

>Miscellaneous improvements on performance.

How to upgrade the FiiO M17:-

FiiO M17, like most of the other Android devices, support both online and offline firmware upgrade. Before we begin the update procedure, make sure your FiiO M17 is fully charged. 

Online Firmware Update(OTA):-

>Connect your M17 to a working Wi-Fi connection.

>An Upgrade notification will pop up in the notification center.

>Tap on it to enter the update menu for the Online Upgrade.

>If your M17 doesn’t show any update notification, simply go to “Technical Support” on your M17.

>Click on the “Firmware Upgrade” menu.

>Tap on “Check for updates” to check manually.

>Once found, just confirm the download.

>Your M17 will download the update and then ask you for confirmation to begin the installation process.

>After the installation, the device will restart itself.

Offline Firmware Update:-

>Download the Firmware update file from FiiO’s official website here.

>Copy the downloaded .zip file to the internal storage of your M17, or simply to an SD card.

>Go to “Technical Support” on your M17.

>Click on “Firmware Upgrade”.

>Tap on “Local Upgrade”.

>Locate the copied .zip file and click on it.

>M17 will ask for your confirmation and begin the installation process.

>Your M17 will restart itself after the firmware update is complete.
