FiiO Announces K9 Pro High-End Desktop DAC/AMP!!

Entering into the big game of high-end desktop DAC/AMP’s FiiO has released the latest K9 Pro flagship DAC/AMP. FiiO’s “K” series has a superb range of desktop DAC/AMP’s and the K9 Pro is the new leader of the chain now. FiiO initially imagined the K9 Pro to feature a dual AK4499 DAC setup but due to the disastrous fire at AKM factory resulting in the shortage of AKM DAC chips, FiiO had to redesign the architecture of K9 Pro. Still, with the shortage of DAC chips, the quantity of K9 Pro will be very limited. The K9 Pro is expected to be on sale in April this year, Price will be shared shortly.

Apart from this AK4499 DAC K9 Pro, FiiO is also working on a dual DAC ES90XX K9 Pro that will have a lower price and will be available around August 2021.

It is a 32-bit 4ch Switched Resistor DAC that adopts newly developed technology, achieving the industry’s leading level of low distortion and low noise characteristics. The DAC chip is paired with a high-end USB signal receiver that enables it to decode hi-res files. The K9 Pro supports PCM decoding up to 32-Bit/768kHz and DSD up to DSD512 natively. It also supports MQA decoding support.

The FiiO K9 Pro is a hub for all your audio needs. It features multiple audio input/output options that include RCA/Coaxial/Bluetooth/Optical/USB/4.4mm input ports. For output the device features line-out functionality via 4-Pin XLR balanced*2, RCA line-out and headphone output via 4.4mm/4-Pin XLR Balanced, and 6.35mm single-ended headphone output ports.

Hi-Res Wireless Bluetooth Connectivity:-

The FiiO K9 Pro features wireless Bluetooth functionality with hi-res codecs support. It supports up to 96kHz bitrate streaming over a wireless Bluetooth connection thanks to the hi-res LDAC codec support. Along with LDAC, the K9 pro also supports AptX Adaptive, AAC, SBC wireless codecs.

Price & Availability:-

There is no confirmed information from the brand regarding the price of the K9 Pro. It will be available in April this year. FiiO is also working on a lower-priced dual ESS90xx DAC variant for the K9 Pro.(Due to the shortage of AKM DAC chips).
