Topping DAC DX7 Pro Vs. DX7s -11 Updates | Hifigo

It’s not often that a fully balanced DAC/amp comes along at a price like this. The Topping DX7 pro improves upon the well-regarded DX7s by taking a flagship DAC and headphone amp sections up a notch.

What's the difference between Topping DX7 pro and DX7s?

There are 11 items improved as it is in the following table.

Topping DX7 Pro Vs. DX7s comparision

Upgrade decoding chip from dual ES9038 DAC to flagship DAC ES9038PRO

DX7 PRO refresh decoder chip from dual ES9038 DAC of DX7s to one ES9038PRO. Flagship DAC ESS ES9038PRO, with 32-bit Hyperstream architecture, achieves ultra-high performance in the audio field. Besides, Topping opts ultra-low noise linear power chip ES9311 to supply high-quality power and 3x ACCUSILICON femtosecond for DX7 pro which delivers the ultra-high performance of DX7 pro. The excellent decoding performance brings us more details, lower distortion (AMP THD+N at 6.35 and balance output both reduced much as shown in the above table), and higher signal-to-noise ratio ( DAC SNR and AMP SNR increase 3 dB separately). It supports native DSD, DXD and PCM audio file decoding to meet the lossless decoding needs of most people.

Compact size

You can look forward to a more compact size as well. The DX7 Pro now gives you 22.2cm x 17.8cm x 4.5cm versus 25 x 20.5 x 5 cm offered by the original DX7s.

IIS input added to bring you better performance and more usage

Topping has also boosted its input IIS as additions on DX7 pro comparing with DX7s supporting DSD64-DSD1024 (native) which is extremely high. When there is a better interface, you can use the HDMI cable to directly send the 11S signal into the DX7 Pro's ES9038PRO for a better decode. 11S input can support up to PCM32bit768kHz & DSD1024 native. The 11S input provides phase settings, DSD channel settings, and DSD indicator pin selection settings, which are compatible with most digital interfaces on the market that use the HDMI interface to output 11S signals.

4.4mm balanced, XLR balanced or 6.35mm single-end, Topping DX7 pro have all

DX7 Pro Fully compatible with single-end 6.35mm, 4 pin XLR balanced and 4.4mm balanced outputs which are new for the DX7 series. In addition, the headphone amp of DX7 Pro has two built-in gain further expand the usable range to meet the options of different users.
