Moondrop Blessings 2 Quick Review:- A Wider Stage For Our Music!!

Moondrop is a China Based earphone manufacturing brand, they are widely known all around the globe for their well built, premium sounding earphones. Their famous products include in-ear monitors like Moondrop KXXS, Moondrop Starfield, and many more. Quite recently they have announced their latest pair of in-ear monitors which comes as an upgrade to one of their best selling previous models the Moondrop Blessing. The latest iteration is called the Moondrop Blessing 2.

Last week we at Hifigo got lucky and got ourselves a pair of Moondrop Blessing 2 and today we are going to share our quick review about the same with you all, but before we start you can buy this amazing pair of earphones from our store here.

Build Quality:-

Moondrop makes all its product unique looking with a premium and rich build quality, the Moondrop Blessing 2 is not an exception, here we have got medical-grade 3D printed resin shells they have stainless steel faceplates with transparent inner shells. Through the transparent inner shells, we can clearly see the ultimate and precise craftsmanship of the trained staff at Moondrop in precise placements of driver units. The Moondrop Blessing 2 has a five driver hybrid setup each side with four balanced armature drivers and one dynamic driver unit, and all the drives are clearly visible from the shells. I can clearly see the tubes coming out of different driver units and going into the ear nozzle, the earphones simply look brilliant.

The stainless steel faceplates have laser engraved blessing 2 branding on the right earpiece, while the left earpiece is left plain. Both the earpieces have a ventilation hole at the faceplates, they have 0.78mm two-pin connector type, and comes with a 3.5mm terminated good quality copper cable.

Overall the build quality of the Moondrop Blessing 2 lives up to the quality standards previously sat up by the brand, it looks and feels premium, offers an ergonomic design with a lightweight shell, they provide a comfortable fit.

Sound Quality:-

The Moondrop Blessing 2 takes the legacy of brilliantly tuned in-ear monitor from Moondrop forward, the pair is tuned with utmost perfection. It is tuned to match the Harman frequency curve, it offers a balanced and natural sound output. The output has crisp details with crispy clarity in vocals and a deep, thump bass response, but let’s discuss different areas of the sound frequency range:-

Lows:-

The Moondrop Blessings 2 has got a 10mm Dynamic driver unit to handle the bass section or I must say the lower end of the frequency response range. The driver gives a very clean and powerful bass response, there is great depth to the drum beats in songs by MJ, the bass has got a full body detailing here, the thumps in songs like Bet by Octavian has got that groovy feel to it, it really shook me with its bass response and made the pair really enjoyable.

Mids:-

The Moondrop Blessing 2 shines in the mids section with crispy clear vocals, and great acoustic details. The mids section is being handled by a Dual Softears Balanced Armature driver units, the vocals feel alive, listening to songs like The Blower’s Daughter by Damien Rice, Shape of My Heart by Sting feel really great, the voices have got that sense of depth, heaviness to them, the songs felt full of emotions with the pair.

Highs:-

The pair has got a smooth treble section, the instrument details are rendered with great clarity and detail to them, there is no sibilance or fatiguing at all even at higher volume levels. Listening to songs like In Mist She Was Standing by Opeth, November Rain by Guns ’N’ Roses, was very smooth, there is no peakiness or harshness in the treble section.

Instrument Timbre:-

The Moondrop Blessing 2 has been tuned in such a manner to provide its users with a natural instrument timbre quality, the instruments sound real with no coloration by the IEM by any means.

Staging:-

The Moondrop Blessing 2 have got a very wide soundstage, I literally felt for once that I am listening to a personal orchestra booming right into my ears with no great instrument details and vocal clarity, the pair sound very musical and enjoyable.

Noise Isolation and Noise Leakage:-

The Moondrop Blessing 2 provides a comfortable and firm fit to my ears, covering the entire ear canal, it provides good noise isolation even at lower volumes, I was able to enjoy my music easily in proper isolation, with closed-back design, there is no issue for noise leakage by any means.

Final Verdict:-

I really loved the Moondrop Blessing 2, it is a very beautiful looking pair of IEM with a brilliant tuning, the sound output is just mesmerizing, the pair has got a balanced and natural sound output with crisp clarity and a wider staging, making this pair suitable for watching movies and listening to any genre of music without any worries. This is one of the must-have pair of IEM’s under the 500$ price range, which one should always consider while buying their next pair.
