As mentioned earlier, Softears RSV MK2 houses a five-balanced armature drive setup on each side. Softears has equipped high-quality, premium drivers for next-level sonic excellence with the air. The RSV MK2 adopts dual Knowles CI22955 drivers for the lower end; these are the largest BA drivers available in the market. They produce a strong, sensational lower-end response. With an improved ED balanced armature driver, the RSV MK2 achieves a natural tone and great resolution in the mid-frequency region. For the treble section, we have a Composite SWFK high-frequency balanced armature driver unit. The Softears RSV MK2 delivers great clarity and resolution with a smooth, rich, natural tonality across the frequency band.

Featuring a self-developed LRC tuning network and precisely designed four-way frequency crossover with four independent acoustic ducts, Softears has equipped the RSV MK2 with a precisely designed frequency crossover design. This upgraded acoustic structure enhances the performance of each driver unit, it makes sure the output is clean and free from multi-driver distortion. Softears RSV MK2 delivers a coherent sound which has refined energy distribution across the different frequency regions. In order to deliver a solid lower-end response, Softears has designed a unique dual-bass tube design. These tubes are precisely calculated to provide a punchy and dynamic bass response and overcome the low-strength bass issues of traditional all-BA IEMs.

Along with pure high-resolution sound, the Softears RSV MK2 provides an extremely comfortable wearing experience. The pair features Softears’ patented passive air-damping and dual-pressure relief systems inherited from their flagship RS10 IEMs. This unique technology relieves the ear canal from any air pressure buildup, resulting in comfortable wear and, at the same time, enhances the bass punch as well. Softears RSV MK2 stands out with its eye-catching designer look. The shells feature CNC-machined anodized aluminum alloy face plates with a striking Carbon-fibre V-pattern, and an ergonomic 3D-printed nozzle. The nozzle has an elevated lip design that ensures the ear tips stay in their place and don’t fall off the pair.

Softears has included a high-purity stock cable with the RSV MK2. The pair comes with a cryogenically-treated OFC copper cable. It is scientifically crafted to minimize microphonic, enhance the sound signal transmission for a pure, high-resolution sound experience with the pair. The cable has standard 0.78mm 2-pin connectors and features a 4.4mm balanced termination plug.
