SMSL VMV D2R MK2 takes the widely-loved musicality of the OG D2R and injects it with a world-class clocking system. It comes equipped with the ROHM BD34302EKV flagship DAC chipset, known for its organic, rich sound signature. It is combined with XMOS XU316 16-core USB chipset that enables 32bit/768kHz PCM and native DSD512 audio signal processing. The SMSL VMV D2R MK2 houses their advanced CK-04 clock processing circuit that ensures ultra-low jitter across different digital inputs.

To complement the crystal clear sound decoding of the VMV D2R MK2, SMSL has also released the second generation to its powerful P2 headphone amplifier. The SMSL VMV P2 MK2 is a marvelously designed desktop headphone amplifier with a precisely designed 99-OPAMP parallel architecture. This 99-OPAMP parallel design provides the high-voltage swing needed for high-impedance full-sized headphones, and the high-current demands of planar magnetic headphones.
