S.M.S.L and Moondrop have equipped the DHA15 with a flagship-level dual DAC setup. The DAC section is handled by dual CS43198 32-bit DAC chips from the house of Cirrus Logics. They offer crystal clear sound signal decoding with an impressive 131dB high Dynamic Range and ultra-low THD+N performance. This setup processes high-resolution audio signals supporting up to 32-bit/384kHz PCM and native DSD256 bitrate signals. DHA15 is powered by a super-powerful, fully-balanced discrete Class A headphone amplifier section. Despite its compact design, the DHA15 is a “beast in disguise”. It delivers an astonishing 15W per channel output through its balanced headphone output ports. To ensure seamless performance, the DHA15 features three-level adjustable gain with the lowest gain specific to sensitive IEMs. It has a 99-step precise volume control that allows minute volume adjustment without channel imbalance or sudden volume spikes. SMSL has featured 6.35mm single-ended, 4.4mm balanced, and 4-pin XLR balanced headphone output options on the DHA15.

By connecting to the Moondrop application(web-based or Android App), users can access an advanced multi-band Parametric Equalizer(PEQ) that will help them fine-tune the output using frequency point, Q factor, and gain adjustment options. The technology brings everything from the Moondrop application, including the wide community database where users can share their own custom EQ profiles, download other EQ profiles shared by users, and can also access a wide variety of frequency database presets available in the community.
