Moondrop has developed a new 50mm ultra-high-performance ULT dynamic driver for the Horizon. This new driver has come out as a result of two years of extensive research and development by an experienced team of acoustic engineers. The pair adopts a high-quality titanium-plated PEN dome and a dual-layered liquid silica gem suspension composite diaphragm. We usually see PEN material in flagship-grade headphones; it is used in the dome here with exquisite titanium plating. This dome structure has an excellent level of rigidity and also has great damping characteristics. Similarly, the dual-layered liquid silica gel suspension provides swifter diaphragm movement, ensuring clean, impactful sound with ultra-low distortion.
