For producing impressive sound with its flagship pair of headphones, FiiO has equipped the FT7 with a self-developed 106mm full-size planar magnetic driver. This driver is developed with extensive research. This huge driver delivers excellent sound quality with a wide frequency response range. It adopts a 1 micron ultra-thin diaphragm with a patented gold and silver precious material multi-layered coating on the diaphragm. This multi-layered coating technology is again FiiO’s patented technology, which helps further enhance the performance of this 106mm full-size driver unit. Gold layers give a rich, charming lower-end to the pair while the Sterling Silver etching ensures enhanced high-frequency response, delivering minute details with great ease.

FiiO FT7 features a solid magnetic circuit with a magnetic flux reaching up to 1.5T!! FiiO has developed this strong magnetic setup with eighteen strong N52 magnets per side. With high-performance N52 α magnets, the magnetic field is even, uniform, and spread well across the driver’s diaphragm. This uniform, strong magnetic field results in lower harmonic distortion, better driving efficiency, enhanced transient speed, and cleaner overall output with the FT7.

FiiO FT7 has an exclusive build quality. The headphone, while housing a large 106mm driver unit, a powerful magnetic architecture, etc., still maintains a lightweight profile. We would say thanks to its robust and lightweight carbon fibre material fuselage. The upper headband chassis is made up of this lightweight material. The ear cups have an open-back grille made up of natural Zebra wood material. It looks sleek and classy and gives the headphone a premium in-hand feel. Developed using liquid nitrogen frozen material, the stock cable of FiiO FT7 is a flagship thing of its own. It is made up of high-purity 6N single-crystal wire cores, which are frozen using liquid nitrogen. The cable is then treated to the ultra-low temperature of -192°C for about seven days. This strong cooling process eliminates internal stress of the cable material and improves the signal conductivity. This cable adopts dual 3.5mm connectors on the headphone side and a 4.4mm balanced plug. FiiO bundles 4.4mm to 4-pin XLR and 4.4mm to 6.35mm adapters in the package.
