FiiO Launches K13 R2R Desktop DAC and Amplifier

The K13 R2R features the FiiO’s customized four-channel R2R resistor array DAC arrangement, which features 48 precision resistors per channel, making it a total of 192 resistors on the board. With 0.1% accuracy and ultra-low temperature drift, the R2R DAC arrangement delivers crisp, high-resolution audio signal processing with a rich, musical tonality. To further enhance the performance, FiiO has equipped the device with the XMOS 3rd generation XU316 USB processor chipset. It enables high-resolution 32-bit/384kHz PCM and native DSD256 audio signal processing. Additionally, the DAC works on two operating modes, NOS(Non-Oversampling) and OS(Oversampling). The NOS mode retains the original character of the recordings while the OS mode upsamples the audio signal to 384kHz and delivers a refined, enhanced presentation.

FiiO K13 R2R features a fully-balanced headphone amplifier circuit that includes dual OPA1642 and TPA6120A chips. It delivers up to 2400mW of output per channel at 32Ω, the K13 R2R easily drives everything from sensitive IEMs to demanding full-sized headphones. With three gain levels, the K13 R2R allows precise pairing across different IEMs and Headphones. Another key strength of the K13 R2R is its high-precision 10-band PEQ. Users can access the PEQ functionality through the web application or the FiiO Control application, which will help users customize the output via individual adjustments for frequency point, gain level, and Q-factor.

Versatility is one of the key features of FiiO K13 R2R. The DAC/AMP supports multiple input/output options, including USB, Coaxial, Optical, and Bluetooth V5.4 connection options for input, and 4.4mm+6.35mm headphone outputs, and RCA+XLR pre-amp/line-out ports. Another key feature of the latest K13 R2R is its advanced power supply design. The DAC/AMP features a dual-mode power supply design, which works in both DC and AC modes.  With alloy-nickel-plated shielding and low-noise regulators, this dual-mode power supply ensures clean, interference-free power delivery to different components on the K13.
