At the heart of the DN142, DUNU has crafted a professionally designed audio architecture. The pair houses a seven-driver tribrid configuration featuring one powerful dynamic driver, four high-performance balanced armature drivers, and two advanced micro-planar drivers. This setup delivers a high-quality sound profile with a punchy, dynamic bass response, crystal clear midrange, and a neatly defined high-frequency band. DUNU has arranged these drivers with a professionally designed four-way physical + Electronic crossover.

The DD unit is designed for impactful lower-end, two custom BA handles the midrange, two custom BA drivers handle the treble region, and two customized micro planars reproduce an open and defined ultra-high-frequency band. This crossover ensures each driver works its magic with perfect accuracy and ultra-low distortion.

DUNU DN142 isn’t just about audio; the pair is a visual pleasure as well. Developed in collaboration with HeyGears, a leading name in 3D-printed audio solutions, the ear shells are crafted using a high-precision 3D printing process. They are lightweight and ensure great comfort for extended music listening sessions.

The looks are equally impressive, and the shells are designed in a beautiful blue colour with a dense finish. It shows great inspiration from Ao Bing’s deep and tranquil oceanic imagery; the pair captures a sense of depth and inner calm while showcasing a rich, textured finish. As a fun bonus, each unit also includes three exclusive cards themed after Ao Bing and features artistic design.

DUNU bundles the DN142 with high-purity silver-plated single-crystal copper cable in a Litz braided configuration. With the patented Q-Lock Mini interchangeable termination plug system, users can easily swap between 3.5mm and 4.4mm connectors to suit their favourite IEMs. Additionally, DUNU also includes their famous S&S, Candy, and Balanced ear tips in the DN142 package.
