The Concept R is designed to reignite the golden era of music, the Walkman era, but with a modern twist. The device looks like a big Walkman with mechanical push buttons, a signature sliding volume lever, and a 2.08” monochromatic OLED display screen. This setup creates a retro-futuristic aesthetic that looks and feels spectacular. DUNU has designed the Concept R with a high-precision CNC-machining process using aerospace-grade aluminium alloy material. DUNU Concept R is not just about portable CD Playback; it’s a vintage charm that every audiophile will connect with.

While the look and feel of Concept R is vintage, the internals are purely high-end modern HiFi, promising a clean and crisp sound quality. The Concept R is equipped with a fully-discrete R2R decoding section with a 192-precision matched resistor array. This R2R DAC provides a smooth, analog sound with a lifelike, natural tonality and a big, open soundstage. Combined with this R2R DAC setup, we have a switchable Class A/AB amplification module with a rated output of up to 1.3W @ 32Ω impedance load. It houses a 6.35mm and a 4.4mm balanced headphone output port for convenient connectivity with different IEMs and Headphones. Additionally, the DUNU Concept R can also be used as a Desktop USB DAC for added functionality.
