  • The X26 features a high-performance digital filter and GPLL-M1 high-precision phase-locked loop module self-developed by Gustard. This makes the X26 reach a new level of sound quality in all of Gustard's DAC product lines.

  • As we all know, digital filters are an inseparable part of modern high-performance audio DAC system design. The most critical design goal of digital filters is to reduce the aliasing noise in the audio band of the digital domain. This process mainly performs oversampling and noise shaping on the original digital audio signal to achieve better sound quality.

  • Modern audio DAC chips generally integrate digital filter functions, and their audio objective performance has reached a good level. However, the DAC on-chip digital filter is limited by various aspects such as cost and computing power, and its sound quality performance can no longer meet our pursuit of higher sound quality.

  • So we developed our own high-performance digital filter solution on the Analog Device SHARC digital audio DSP platform. The solution is equipped with a high-performance anti-aliasing noise algorithm developed by Gustard, which uses high-precision floating-point 64-bit arithmetic in some key digital signal processing. This algorithm has been optimized for ESS Technology DACs to ensure high sound quality.

  • The GPLL-M1 high-precision phase-locked loop module has ultra-low residual phase noise, and the recovered audio clock implements an ultra-low jitter at the femtosecond level. Thanks to the complex algorithm, the jitter suppression performance is excellent, and the additional jitter introduced by various factors can be easily solved.

  • The master clock of the ES9038 chips is also supplied by the GPLL high-precision phase-locked loop module. It works directly in synchronous mode to bypass internal ASRC resampling and no longer relies on ASRC to guarantee performance (no need for 100M clock).

 
 

Gustard DAC-X26 technical features:

 

 • The X26 uses two ESS Technology's flagship audio DAC chip ES9038PRO for dual mono audio digital-to-analog conversion. Each channel uses a separate ES9038Pro chip, and each channel is completely independent power supply and grounding for best performance.

 

• The X26 uses the GPLL-M1 high-precision phase-locked loop module with ultra-low residual phase noise, and the recovered audio clock can reach the femtosecond level of ultra-low jitter. Thanks to the complex algorithm, the jitter suppression performance is excellent, and the additional jitter introduced by various factors can be easily solved;

 

• The X26's audio digital signal processing is implemented with the Analog Device SHARC digital audio DSP, equipped with Gustard's proprietary high-performance anti-aliasing noise algorithm, which uses a high-precision floating-point 64-bit algorithm for some key digital signal processing. This algorithm has been optimized for ESS Technology DACs to ensure high sound quality;

 

• The X26 uses the CPLD programmable logic chip, which is equipped with Gustard's self-developed multi-year custom digital logic functions, including clock management, 2nd PLL digital shaping, DOP decoding, PCM/DSD depop switch and other exclusive technologies, which lays a solid foundation for excellent sound quality. ;

 

• The X26 uses two high-quality audio dedicated toroidal transformers to power the digital and analog circuits, thus achieving complete independent power supply without mutual interference;

 

• The X26's analog circuitry uses a native fully balanced architecture with no single-ended/differential conversion for complete balanced and single-ended output;

 

• The X26's analog LPF circuit uses a self-developed discrete circuit, and the parameters of each stage of the circuit have been carefully adjusted to achieve the best operating point;

 

• X26 supports 0dB~-90dB, a total of 90 gears of digital volume, with the included high-quality remote control to easily adjust the volume;

 

• All digital inputs of the X26 support DSD:

SPDIF, AES/EBU: DSD64, DSD128 (DOP mode)

• The X26 is equipped with three digital filter algorithms developed by Gustard and can also be turned on.

PCM: VIVID (recommended) / COMPOSITE / GENTLE;

DSD: 47K/50K/60K/70K;

NOS mode: (only sampling rate of 176.4KHz and above can be used), NOS (No OverSampling) does not perform digital oversampling, directly digital-to-analog conversion of the original digital audio signal. This mode is recommended for use with audio player software such as HQplayer with its own oversampling digital filter function;

 

• X26's USB digital audio interface module uses ESS Technology's USB AUDIO solution, up to PCM768K DSD512;

• The X26's screen brightness is adjustable and it is automatically remembered after 10 seconds of no operation. After power-on, it will automatically maintain the settings before the last power-off, and humanized operation control;

• The X26 features a brushed aluminum chassis with optional colors including silver (matte white) and black;

• X26 chassis size: width 330* depth 260* height 65MM (excluding protruding parts);

• X26 package size: length 420 * width 360 * height 175MM;

• X26 package weight: 7KG;

• The X26's AC supply voltage mode can be manually switched between 110/115V and 220/230V;

The X26 uses a newly designed 8-channel hybrid discrete I/V conversion circuit and an independent adder circuit to fully meet the ES9038Pro's large output current requirements for I/V conversion circuits, ensuring high performance from the source;

The X26's analog LPF circuit is a fully discrete Class A circuit specifically tuned for the ES9038Pro chips.

Because each discrete device only needs to be considered separately to perform its own performance, there are fewer application limitations for a single discrete device, so that the performance of each discrete device can be fully utilized.

Because the active devices in the integrated circuit are integrated into the chip, they cannot be individually adjusted in a targeted manner. Tuning a circuit that uses discrete components is more flexible than using an integrated circuit, and the parameters of each stage can be freely adjusted to achieve an optimum operating point. In addition, circuits using discrete devices are more developable and relatively controllable for distortion characteristics, which can result in a more variability sound style for different audio DAC system architecture designs.

 

The disadvantage of discrete devices is that their parasitic parameters are highly influential, and designing and tuning is more difficult than using integrated circuits. This requires a certain technical experience and a long adjustment process. The consistency of the circuit using discrete devices is also relatively weak, so the selection of components used is very demanding.

  1. All items will be shipped out from China within 1~ 3 days after payment except prominent note on the page. If we cannot, we will let you know new shipping date at once after the payment and cancellation is available if you cannot accept that.

Q: When will you ship out the cargoes after payment? 

A: Within 1 - 3 days except prominent note on the page for pre-sale items. If we cannot ship out in 1~ 3 days, we will let you know new shipping date at once and cancellation is available if you cannot accept that. 

Q: I got a shipping confirmation and tracking number. Why don’t I have tracking information listed immediately?

A: Since shipping process involves multiple steps of coordination between internal and external parties, it doesn’t happen instantly. Usually tracking information will be listed on the next day of shipping confirm notification email/SMS.  

Q: Why tracking information is not updated for a long time? 

A: Usually it is on the way to your local country, pls be patient. If it is not updated a few days after arriving in your country, pls try to contact us or the carrier for additional information.

Warranty

Hifigo offers 1 year warranty for Consumer Electronic products and so on. Should your product prove to be defective for non-artificial reasons within 1 year from the date of arrival, you can send the defective items back or unit for free repair. Hifigo will be in charge of the maintenance handling fees and replacement charges for defective components found to be defective due to manufacturer’s defect. (this free repair rule does not apply to motherboard & screen).

This warranty extends only to personal use & does not extend to any product that has been used for commercial use, rental use, or use which is not intended. There are no warranties other than expressly set forth herein. This warranty is not transferable.

THE WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO THE FOLLOWING

  • Damage due to accident, dis-assemble, waterlogmisuse, abuse, alterations or vandalism.
  • Improper or inadequate maintenance.
  • Unauthorized modification or commercial use. 
  • Damage in return transit.
  • Unsupervised use by children under 18 years of age.

Furthermore, Hifigo is not liable for incidental or consequential damages of any nature resulting from the use of this product and any liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the product.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Returns or Exchange

Can I cancel an order? 

Non- customized order can be cancelled without restocking fee if the product has not been shipped. For customized order, it is not accept for cancellanation after 24 hours you have placed an order. Hope you could understand that we will start production for your customized order once we receive your order in 24 hours.

Can I return the product that I don’t like and get refund?

Some items may be returned for either money back or exchange subject to the following conditions. Our policy is within 7days after receiving according to the tracking record. If 7 days after receiving have gone , unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

  • Any item returned  must be complete with all accessories, hardware, manuals or instructions, and in the same "new" condition as when it was when shipped to you. Please send us the photos or videos of it. 
  • Any item returned incomplete or with physical damage such as scratches etc., excessive signs of use or abuse will not be accepted for return.
  • Any item returned will be evaluated upon receipt. Of course, we cannot give refunds on defective merchandise resulting from mishandling, misuse, tampering or improper use.

Can I exchange product I ordered? 

We offer exchange service if the items in following conditions. (*Except Non-refundable & Non-exchangeable items)
  • Products must in “Good Condition” with no damaged in any way.
  • To exchange a product, the product must be available to purchase on Hifigo.com and its price must be higher or equal to the original order amount.
  • The customer will have to pay the difference in price if s/he selects a product of a higher price.
  • If you have purchased any items with any discount offered by a joint promotion or other promotional activities but the discount offer has expired at the time of the exchange, the discount shall not be taken into account. Discounts offered by companies other than Hifigo shall be dealt with in accordance with the terms and conditions of the relevant companies.

What’s the normal process of cancel, return or refund ?

Please email our customer service hifigo@gmail.com with your order number and your specific inquiries. Please keep the product as original as possible and send us the photos or videos of it.

Which kind of product can be returned and refunded?

All cable/DAC/AMP/UIEM products are returnable if the product is in the same condition as when purchased. CIEM products cannot be returned. Defective products covered under warranty could be returned for servicing, but NOT for refund.

When do items need to be returned by?

No later than 7 days after receiving the product (according to tracking record)

Where do items need to be returned to?

For international shipping, to make your ship back easily, pls contact us and choose your convenience place to ship back to us. If you want to ship back to us, please contact us for our shipping address.

When can i get refund for my product?

We will refund you once we receive your order and after product checking, we will refund you within 3 working days.

How much can I get for refund?

We will charge you 30% of the MSRP for restocking fee and then refund you the rest of the money. For example, if the MSRP is $100, we will refund you $70. If the item is returned without its complete original packaging (original box, foam padding etc.), additional 10% packing fee will apply. 

Who will be responsible for the shipping back fee?

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.  To provide you with the best shopping experience, we will try our best to choose the best shipping method to you. If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
